TRIGGER POINT THERAPY / SPORTS MASSAGE / ELECTRO ACUPUNCTURE
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Trigger Point Therapy is a massage-based treatment that alleviates pain from Trigger points. Trigger points are areas of tight or damaged muscle tissue more commonly known as muscles knots. Trigger point therapy breaks down these muscle knots and returns the muscle to a correct functioning state.
SPORTS & DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep Tissue Sports Massage is a more dynamic all-round treatment. It can work as a stimulant to wake underperforming muscle groups, repair damaged muscle tissue or act as a treatment to prevent injury. By far the most popular of all treatments.
ELECTRO ACUPUNCTURE
Dry Needling / Electro Acupuncture my favoured treatment based purely on it’s near perfect results ratio. Dry needling on its own helps to evaporate trigger points. Connecting the Electro Acupuncture machine to the Dry Needles increases blood flow around the damaged muscle increasing oxygen and nutrients to help the repair process.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Trigger point therapy is a more dynamic treatment that targets specfic muscle groups that have become damaged for various reasons over a period of time
A trigger point is damaged musscle tissue which hasn’t properly repaired itself and over time becomes more commonly know to you and I as a “knot”. They can manifest themselves anywhere across our bodies from our heads to our toes.
They usally occur from repeated stress to a certain musscle group over a period of time or come from a recent accident or sporting injury.
For example, you could work in a manual job which puts physical stress on your body from day to day and over time you develop trigger points fro the repeated stress of it. You could have been in an accident or have a sporting injury and damaged muscle tissue during the activity. If the damaged muscle tissue doesn’t heal correctly it can develop into a Trigger point (a muscle knot) Now these trigger points can “trigger” off pain in other parts of our body. we could have pain in our foot more often than not is coming from our calf or the hamstring region.
Trigger Point Therapy simply treats the Trigger point which then alleviates pain from the other parts of our bodies so in the above case we treated a trigger point found in the calf muscle which in turn has alleviated the pain we were experiencing in our foot.
TREATMENT RANGE FROM 30 – 90 MINUTES
SPORTS & DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
A sports massage can be the most invigorating of all treatments available in massage. It’s deeper brisker nature means the whole muscle structure gets that little wake up (to put it mildly) it’s being needing for a while now.
Sports Massage can work as an over body treatment or focus solely on the muscles you use most for your particular sport. Benefits can be both physiological and physiological: these include a better sense of wellbeing, increased blood flow and joint mobilization. The treatment increases flexibly reduces the chance of injury and releases lactic acid and toxins from your system.
TREATMENT RANGE FROM 45 – 60 MINUTE SESSIONS

My Approach
dry needling OR intramuscular stimulation
Dry Needling stems from ancient Chinese acupuncture. On first glimpse they arrear quite similar. Both treatments use needles but that’s where the similarities end. Dry Needling targets relief from pain muscle (trigger points) and muscle dysfunction (sprain strains tendonitis) By inserting dry needles into a trigger point or a “Knot” as you may know it, the needle evokes a response from the muscle, relaxing and now opening the muscle it is allowed to heal and restore itself to its natural function.
Favoured by Celebrities, Sports men & women over the last decade, practiced by doctors and Physicians all over the world its unique advantage is that its results are instantaneous and its a modern effective way of dealing with chronic pain.
